A long time ago Scott created the Free Magic Rule. On 4 July 2026 we documented that ruling for the first time here.
The Free Magic rule allows spell casters to:
- allocate 2 slots of a single level to one free magic spell slot of the same level.
- instead of having memorised a specific spell, the Free Magic slot allows you to cast any spell of that level from your spell book as if you had memorised it.
